My obsession with music began at a young age. When I was just three years old, I hopped up on a piano bench after my brother finished playing a song and managed to squeeze out every note by ear. Shortly thereafter, my career in music sprouted as I began to take lessons of my own. After having a few years of classical training under my belt, competitions and recitals started to become a monthly event as I attempted to perfect pieces representative of times before. Later my experience in music led me to begin playing the guitar, cello, and sing while attempting to educate myself on all the genres I could. Music for me became a way in which I could express myself without words-something I believe to be very beneficial and therapeutic for all.
As time moved onward, so did my developing taste in the sounds that filled my ears. I began to collect records of my favorite bands, most of them ranging from 1960 to 1980. I fell in love with classical and psychedelic rock and started to expand more and more each year, collecting records every chance I got, be it at a yard sale or from someone piecing them out at a music festival. Over time I have collected over 2,000 vinyls and continue to every chance that I get. One day I hope to be able to influence younger generations with the music I have collected by opening a small, niche vinyl lounge in which people can perform and play their favorite music from the past.
